Being Bored Has It’s Advantages

As you know I am always looking to find new ways of making an income on the internet and today I stumbled across a new company quite by chance. I was bored and decided to check my traffic stats and saw someone found my blog by typing in ‘get paid blog review’ into Google.

Thanks to my curiosity I followed the link and I found a new company by the name of linkfromblog.com who pay you to write review posts on your blog. Just like the other 19 that I have commented about before.

It is yet another company that will allow me to earn money from advertisers who wish to buy blog reviews from blogs such as this one.

I’ve not used them yet but I have read some nice comments about them via Google searching so I’m hoping for a nice relationship with them.

Get Paid To Tweet On Twitter

Twitter has really exploded onto the scene over the past six months or so. As more and more people flock to use the micro blogging web site it is only going to be natural that people wonder if it is at all possible to earn any money from sending tweets. I mean, if the people who run Twitter are not making money than how can the ‘little people’ do it?

Well it is actually possible to earn money via Twitter. I’m not talking about affiliate marketing here, which is very possible. I’m talking about earning money by posting a Tweet and earning money every time someone clicks on a link in your Tweets.

I currently use two companies that pay every time someone clicks on a link that is put into a Tweet.

RevTwt

The first thing that I noticed about the web site is how badly their web site layout comes across. It looks like it was put together by a novice who did it in five minutes with their eyes closed and their good hand behind their back.

This is normally enough to put people off but if you look past that and dig a little further you will find they are actually a decent outfit. They pay per click and have limits on adverts where they only pay for clicks from people in certain countries to combat fraud.

The only downside is that the adverts are mainly about teeth whitening and other health-related products and not a lot of people seem willing to click on the links as they know they are adverts.

Maybe it is just that I don’t have many people on my list who want to click on them. I mainly have people trying to make money on my list after all.

Sponsored Tweets

This is the brainchild of those clever folks over at IZEA, the same people behind the bemoth paid blogging network that we know as Pay-Per-Post. Although they are new they are on the rise as they have big bloggers like John Chow raving about earning $7,000 a day using them.

The layout is fantastic and very simply, I think they have about fibe pages on the admin panel and that is it.

The difference with this network however is that you do not look for ads, the advertisers actually seek you out. There are some guidelines that are in place to help you get more offers and to make sure the advertisers get good Twitter accounts.

- Twitter account must be over 120 days old.
- You should have some Tweets.
- You should have a nice amount of followers.

From what I’ve read the more Tweets and followers you have the more the advertisers will look at you.

Magpie

This is one that I have not tried yet. They seem to work in a similar way to Sponsored Tweets in which the advertisers approach you. When I signed up it asked me to type in my Twitter username and it told me that based on the amount of followers I have and the amount of Tweets I could earn around $500 a month.

Let me know if these three companies make any money for you at all. Also feel free to leave a comment telling me if I have missed any others or even your own feelings on the above mentioned companies.

Logging Into WordPress With OpenID

Have you been to a web site before and found that you have been given an option to log in with something called OpenID? Has it confused you and left you wondering what in the name of hell it is all about?

OpenID is an authentication service that means you can log into various web sites without having to create multiple accounts. It is designed to save lots of time and you having to memorise numerous passwords.

There is an OpenID WordPress Plug-in that you can install on your blog so that people can sign in with their OpenID accounts.

It also includes an OpenID provider, enabling users to login to OpenID-enabled sites using their own personal WordPress account. XRDS-Simple is required for the OpenID Provider and some features of the OpenID Consumer.
