Last year I posted about a company called LinkFromBlog who offered sponsored posts. A lot of people thought that I was less than complimentary with my review of them and their web site, some even said that they looked like a scam site that had been set up overnight.

On the 11th of November I hit their $50.00 payout minimum and duly request that I be paid. I don’t count my chickens when it comes to a new company so I just requested that they pay me and then moved on with my business.

I am pleased to announce that not only did they pay me but that they paid me within about five minutes of submitting the request. I was charged a fee of $2.25 but I think that was PayPal rather than LinkFromBlog.

Hopefully this will help to influence a few of you doubters to give the company a shot.

Bidvertiser are quite possibly one of the most irritating advertising networks that I have ever had a business relationship with. Loads of people seemed to love them which is why I finally took the plunge a couple of years ago and opened an account with them.

They claim to offer contextual advertising, in other words they claim to display ads that are linked to the content on your site – just like Google Adsense. This is untrue however, as I have run their ad units on several blogs and the ads are always the same no matter what the topic of the blog is about.

The other thing that I dislike about Bidvertiser is that they pick and choose which clicks they want to pay out on and which ones they wish to ignore. I do not think this is a fair thing to do at all, if a click is not fraudulent then it should be paid out.

Nobody else seems to be annoyed by this though.

They do have a nice amount of sizes for their add units though, at least twice as many as Google Adsense have and you can give them various colour scheme and you can pick custom colours, something you could not do when I last used Google Adsense.

I do like their stance on paying out as well. If you wish to be paid by cheque then the minimum is $100 but if you wish to be paid via PayPal then it is a much lesser minimum of $10, Even Google Adsense doesn’t offer PayPal payments.

Pro
- Easy to be accepted
- Lots of sizes
- nice array of colours available
- $10 payout if you have PayPal

Con
- They pick and choose which clicks they accept
- Their support is terrible
- Their ads are rarely of any use to your readers/visitors

You can join Bidvertiser by clicking this link

In my last post I covered some ways of making money with this blog, so I thought that it would be a good idea to list some ways that I make money without using a web site or a blog. Yes it can be done.

Obviously without a site or a blog you can not take part in banner advertising, sponsored posts or anything similar to that, but there are some options open to you.

Sponsored Tweets

This is something I have been using for a little while and I still can’t believe that I am earning money from it. The more followers you have then the more money you can make. You simply post sponsored tweets onto your Twitter account. Can be very lucrative if you have a lot of followers.

Click Here For More Sponsored Tweet Networks

Get Paid To Fill In Forms

It is exactly what it says on the tin, you fill in forms and surveys and will be paid for completing them. I actually helped pay for a holiday, about three years ago, by using one of these sites.

This is something that you might have come across in the past but have been put off by possible spam. I use spare email accounts when I fill in the offers. The only downside to this is that if you do too many then you won’t get paid for any of them. I do a handful spread through the day.

Click Here For More Get Paid To Networks

Have you got any that I have missed? Why not drop us a comment and let us know.

I have never been the kind of guy who likes to place all of his eggs into one basket, I don’t like to have to rely on one method to make money. Lots of people do make huge incomes by using just one method but that has never been for me, I like to cover my bases.

That is why on this blog you will notice that I try to make money via as many methods as is possible. Whether it be banner ads, sponsored posts, selling unwanted link space or even affiliate marketing.

Banner Ads

The method that most people use to make an income online from their blogs. It doesn’t matter if it is CPM ad networks, like Smowtion or AdsDaq, or CPC ad networks, like Adsense and Adbrite.

A lot of people prefer this method because you don’t have to do anything apart from drive traffic to your blog. Maybe this is the reason so many people fail at earning from them? It needs more work just slapping them on your blogging and pumping traffic to your blog, doesn’t matter if you send 10,000 a day to your blo if nobody cares about your subject matter.

Click For Some Advertising Networks

Sell Link Space

This was something that I had used for several years before being kicked out of the major network for nothing. It brought in a nice regular income month after month. A network will sell ad space for you and take a small percentage. This is great if you don’t have time to look for advertisers.

Click For Some Link Selling Networks

Sponsored Posts

I love sponsored posts, I often say “where would I be without sponsored posts?” The answer is “a hell of a lot poorer.” I earn roughly 95% of my income from them every single month. They are so easy to earn with as well.

You simply write a post on your blog and insert the selected links the advertiser requests. That is it. How easy is that? And because the advertisers want you to hide that it is a paid review, you can make it look like just another blog post on your blog.

The only downside is that a lot of the time they might be about commercial pumps, rehab centres, or something else you have no interest in.

Click For Some Sponsored Post Networks#

Obviously I have not included Affiliate marketing because have yet to start trying that. Do you try any methods that you’d like to share with my readers? Drop us a comment.

Over the past three days I have written articles about networks I use to make money displaying adverts and posting sponsored blog posts on my blog. I thought I would end this with a final article about five networks I use to make money by posting sponsored tweets on Twitter.

I stumbled across this by accident one day. I was wondering if it was possible to make money from Twitter if you don’t have (or want) a product to sell. After a bit of searching I found the wonderful word of sponsored tweeting.

1. Magpie

Despite it being my favourite network, I will be the first to admit that the awful colour scheme and layout is probably stopping it gaining more fans. The amount you are paid depends on how big your follower list is and you have to post at last 5 normal tweets before they will find you a sponsored one. At 3,000 I get around $2.15 per tweet.

They are very quick to suspend accounts (and do not tell you until you try and login) if you do not keep an eye on the amount of auto tweets you make. That means other sponsored networks, Twitterfeed and any scripts that auto tweets for you.

2. Sponsored Tweets

Seen as the major player and it really should not surprise anyone because they are owned by Izea, the same company that operates PayPerPost. This is the one that all the big bloggers are promoting and receiving $1,000 a time per tweet.

3. Twivert

This works a little differently from the first two. You do not get paid for posting a tweet, you are only paid for every click the tweet receives. So basically the Adsense or Adbrite of sponsored tweeting. You are paid about $0.01 per click.

4. Ad.Ly

Sounds more like a name you would associate with a link shortening web site rather than a sponsored tweet network. This one may not be as big as the other four but they are a lot more picky about who they let in, the premium version of the networks.

5. RevTwt

This network is the reason you saw so many teeth whitening and weight loss diet tweets on Twitter a couple of months ago. Again they only pay if someone clicks on a link in the tweet and they only pay if the click is from a certain country, mostly from the States.

Where would I be without the opportunity of making an income by writing paid blog review posts on my blogs? A hell of a lot poorer is the answer to that question. For it totals up about 95% of my monthly earnings.

Some people look down on them but I think they are a fantastic way of generating income and, if written in the correct way, they also help advise people when buying products and expose people to events.

I get lots of emails about this kind of income method so I thought today I would list the five networks that have earned me the most money. Enjoy.

5. BlogToProfit ($150.00)

Each review has been worth between $5.00 – $6.00. You do not get many offers but when you do they come thick and fast. I have received five sets of offers with around five reviews in each. They also pay $10.00 per referral (which is how I earnt most of the sum above).

It states that payment is sent weekly but they have been known to take about two weeks.

Read My Review Here

4. Linkworth ($190.88)

Linkworth are a sort of jack of all trades. They offer blog review offers, in-line ads, banner advertising, text link ads, and lots more. If you have a PR0 blog then you might not get many offers

They pay out once you hit $30.00

3. Smorty ($203.40)

Smorty was once a favourite of mine but sadly the reviews dried up so I was forced to look elsewhere and now I barely check Smorty once a day. They might perk up and if so then definitely check them out. I’d say only use them if you have a PR4+ blog.

They pay every week which is why they become very popular.

2. Sponsored Reviews ($793.05)

Whilst most see Pay Per Post as the Mecca of bloggers wishing to earn money from sponsored posts, I choose to worship Sponsored Reviews. They have given me the second most reviews (behind PayU2Blog) and I have earned some good money with them.

Reviews are not all about finance and Viagra and start off at $5.00 and can go up as high as $100+. They also pay every 14 days.

1. PayU2Blog = ($1417.50)

This is one of my favourite networks as the reviews are very frequent. Each one is about $5.00 but if your PR is higher I guess you will get more. You also get the odd $10.00 and $20.00 reviews. Each review is about 60 words with just one link needed.

They pay out every two weeks and are sometimes early!

Don’t forget to tell them deansaliba@hotmail.com recommended you.

Do you use any of these? I’d love to know how you get on using them, drop us a comment and let us all know.

Believe it or not online advertising does not start and end with just Google Adsense, although Adsense is the undisputed king there are other options, options that do not strangle you with their rules like Google does.

I am a firm believer in not putting all my eggs into one basket, so when Google kicked me out of their Adsense program I wasn’t too worried because I had been slowly phasing them out with the ad networks below anyway.

1. Adbrite

Adbrite are seen as the poor man’s version of Adsense. They have a reputation for not displaying adverts that are related to your niche but they do pretty much accept any web site as long as it is more than one page and is not under construction.

Read My Review Of Adbrite Here

2. AdsDaq

This is another new one that I have been with for a while but have only recently started using. They are quite picky about what sites they accept and once declined you can’t submit that site again. They seem to offer good impression rates.

Read My Review Of AdsDaq Here

3. Clicksor

Clicksor are quite weird. They put up very harsh guidelines in order for you to join but their payouts are absolutely dire. Maybe I have not found the right niche yet, some of you might have better luck. I have earned a nice amount with them but it took me a while to earn it.

4. Smowtion

They seem to look and act very professional compared to the other networks I’ve used (including Google). Their support is very hit and miss when replying, which can put people off. They are not very picky about which sites they accept but they do seem to only acknowledge one ad unit on a page.

5. Underdog

Underdog is one that I am still messing about with. They don’t seem to offer as many different ads as the other two but none of them have been dodgy in any way so I’m happy to stick with them for the foreseeable future.

I’ve given them almost 11,000 page views and have received under a Dollar so I’m hoping it is a case of me not getting it right, rather than them paying out very poor.

Do you use any of these? If so what are you feeling about them? Maybe you can add some more to the list? Feel free to drop a comment in any case.

A quick glance around this blog will show evidence that I display quite a lot of advertisements from a selection of different advertising networks, both CPM ads and CPC ads. Some bloggers don’t mind having them but I know that some people would rather look at other ways to make an income from their blog.

The whole point of this blog is to try as many different ways of making an income as possible but I understand that not everybody shares the same view. So with that in mind I have come up with four other ways to make money from your blog without slapping adverts all over the place.

1. Paid Posts

This is quite possibly my favourite ways of making money on the internet, and not just because it is how I make about 90% of my yearly income. It is incredibly easy to do and sometimes the topics can be very interesting.

An advertiser pays you to write a post on your blog about their business/event/product and place links to their site in the post. It is as simple as that. This might be on of the easiest ways of making money but a lot of readers dislike this kind of advertisement.

See: Sponsored Reviews | Linkworth

2. Set-Up Blogs For Other People

Believe it or not there are a lot of people who would like to have their own hosted WordPress blog but have no idea how to go about it. People like myself find it a breeze to install them, we forget how we struggled when we first tried.

So why not offer a service where you will install and set-up blogs for a reasonable price? Why stop at just setting up the blog? You could offer to install themes and a certain amount of plugins as well to make the deal look sweeter.

See: EzBlogSetup

3. Become A Freelance Writer

Do you have a talent for writing? Believe it or not many web sites. Online publications and blogs are crying out for freelance writers to buy content from on pretty much any subject under the Sun.

If you are just starting out then be prepared to work for low amounts of money because to stand out, and earn good money, you need to make your work stand out among the other millions all whoring their services for pennies.

4. Sell a product

It doesn’t matter what your web site or blog is about, flowers or even Swarovski Crystal beads, there are products that you can sell on the site that people visiting will be interested in buying.

I have found this to be on of the most difficult things to get to work for me as I am not a good salesman, but in the right hands a person could clean up, do a good trade and easily earn a few thousand a week.

See: Clickbank

Can you think of any that I have omitted from the list? Feel free to let me know via the comments section below.

Me writing this blog is not just about me making an income online (although it is about 90% of that if I’m being completely honest), but it is also about helping you guys and girls make money as well. And to do this I need to be completely honest all the time, so you should not be too shocked when I start this review off by saying that Link From Blog is quite possibly the ugliest sponsored post network that I have ever come across.

Now take a moment to let that sink in.

This is not going to be a demolition job of them and their network, far from it, I actually look upon them quite favourably but the fact that they have a horrible design layout can not be ignored and it almost put me off signing up with them.

The design is not the only thing that needs drastic improvements (sorry to go on about the design but it is really horrible), they need to have a look at the way the review opportunities are listed. There is no easy way to find out which reviews are new and which ones have been there for months or even years.

The new opportunities are supposed to be marked with the word ‘New‘ coloured in red but most of the time this does not happen. In fact it was by sheer luck that I discovered that they have developed a program for your computer which delivers to you an update when a new opportunity goes live.

This really is a nice little program, and every review network should be using something like this, but why oh why are Link From Blog not shouting about this program from the rooftops and linking prominently to it on every page of their site?

Not only is this little gem of a program hidden really well but they also seem to want to hide their help pages.

For example there are three types of opportunity:

Post: A post means the advertiser requires that you slip their link and anchor text into a blog post. It doesn’t have to be about their company or product, although it would obviously hurt your blog if you did not try and blend the link into the article.

Short Review: The advertiser requires that you publish a short review of their company or product on your blog. This would be about 50-100 words long and normally requires a link or two being slipped in.

Detailed Review: The advertiser wants a really detailed and in-depth review done of their company or product. This will normally includes several links and even pictures some times. You’re looking at about 250+ words.

When I first signed up to the network I was not aware of what those three option meant, I had to really dig out the help page that relates to explaining them. Again this is the kind of thing that they should be putting out front.

The types of opportunities you will come across are very wide and range from credit cards right through to security and education, so probably something for everyone. Although the prices can be rather ridiculous at times. $0.10 for a post? $1.00 for an in-depth review? No thanks!

They do have an affiliate program, which is something that I think makes a network a whole lot better when you can earn a passive income. But before you get too happy about that even this is not as it should be. Any blogger or advertiser signing up under you has to earn/spend $500 before you will receive your referral fee of $50.00.

Even though $50.00 is a nice offer I do think a minimum of $500 is a tad high, especially for a blogger as most bloggers won’t earn that much with 19 Blog Review Networks, never mind just one. Their payout of $50 is rather high as well I fancy.

As I said, this is not meant to come over as a demolition job. They do have a lot of happy members, and a regular stream of opportunities and as I write this they have just shy of 800 review opportunities on offer.

Pros:
- Regular opportunities.
- Wide range of topics to blog about.
- They pretty much take any blog.
- They offer bonuses of up to $4 for submitting additional blogs.
- You can spend any money you earn on advertising.

Cons:
- Horrible, horrible, design.
- Hard to determine new offers from old offers.
- High $50 payout minimum.
- Need referrers to earn/spend $500 to receive your bonus.

Don’t be afraid of signing up with them though, if you have a PR2+ blog then there is a great chance you can earn enough to hit that $50 mark within a month, sooner if you add more than one blog.

I received a couple of emails a couple of days ago both asking me if I could point them in the direction of some reliable CPM networks that would pay well. Again I thought that instead of jut replying to them I could turn this into a post and share with as many people as possible.

For those of you who are not clear on what CPM stands for, it means ‘cost per mile’ (cost per thousand). It basically means that they will pay you for every 1,000 unique visitors that you display their adverts to.

Now there are hundreds of CPM networks out there and I could easily just go out and grab a load and plonk them in this article and then publish it. But that is not the way I like to work. Besides what if one of them is a scam or dodgy? I lose what little credibility I may have built up with my readers.

What I decided to do was only include CPM networks that I have actually worked with and am happy to endorse. Obviously this has narrowed down the field a considerable bit but at least none of them will be scams or dodgy.

AdsDaq

Although I have been with AdsDaq for a while it was only about four months ago that finally I started to get to grips with them and use them regularly. They are quite picky about what sites they accept and once declined you can’t submit that site again. They seem to offer good impression rates although this is debatable depending on who you talk to.

Total earned: $4.01
Read My Review Of AdsDaq Here

Smowtion

They seem to look and act very professional compared to the other networks I’ve used (including Google). Their support is very hit and miss when replying, which can put people off. They are not very picky about which sites they accept but they do seem to only acknowledge one ad unit on a page.

Total earned: $2.28

Underdog

Underdog is one that I am still messing about with. They don’t seem to offer as many different ads as the other two but none of them have been dodgy in any way so I’m happy to stick with them for the foreseeable future.

I’ve give them almost 11,000 page views and have received under a Dollar so I’m hoping it is a case of me not getting it right, rather than them paying out very poor.

Total earned: $0.74

So there you have it. There may only be three but these are the three CPM networks that I use and I hope that if you join them you will earn a lot more than I have (I’m sure that won’t be difficult!).

If you are part of any CPM networks that do not display ads for dodgy sites then feel free to drop them in the comments section. Please don’t post referral links as I will just delete them.
