2012 hasn’t exactly started the way that I wanted it to. A quick eye over the stats in this blog income report will tell you that I didn’t concentrate on my online dealings in January as I was hit with some personal problems. I don’t want to highlight them all here but it involved the end of a two year relationship and the loss of my first child who was aborted at 3 months.

People who know me will tell you that I’m a tough son of a bitch and I’ll keep fighting no matter what people throw at me.

And without further ado let’s get on with the meat of the matter.

Page Impressions & Visitor Count

The unique visitor count for January stands at 2,456, which is a huge decrease of 1,060 from the month of December.

The page impression count for January stands at 5,038, which is a big decrease of 1,478 from the month of December.

This means that each unique visitor looked at 1.68 pages.

My bounce rate has dropped from 67.89% to 71.74.

I don’t think anyone will be surprised to see I have dropped a lot of traffic after what I have had to deal with offline in January. Hopefully when I get my head together I’ll be able to put this right again in February or maybe March.

Wow 2011 just flew by didn’t it? It seems like only last week I was writing about my goals for 2011 back in January 2011 and now I am about to set out my goals for 2012.

December was always going to be a slow month for me, not only does it mean less work being offered but I couldn’t devote as much time to writing due to getting ready and visiting people over the holidays. So I was expecting my income to be rather low.

Still I managed to publish 13 articles on this blog and I forfilled my writing obligations before I increase my fee. I was going to do that last month but thought I’d best wait until I got the current assignments out of the way first.

The unique visitor count for December stands at 3,516, which is a decrease of 258 from the month of November.

The page impression count for December stands at 6,516, which is a decrease of 312 from the month of November.

This means that each unique visitor looked at 1.85 pages.

My bounce rate has improved slightly from 70.48% to 67.89%.

- Although I have dropped in both unique traffic and page impressions I really can not grumble about it because I have taken way too much time off from this blog.

- I gave Clicksor another chance last month and they repaid me by displaying ads that redirected pretty much every time people visited for a couple of days until I removed them. They have been allowing this to happen for 7+ years, and they refuse to deal with it.

They have now lost me as a publisher.

- My slow phase out of Traffic Revenue is now complete, like Clicksor they were more than happy to turn a blind eye to redirecting ads and ads that installed malicious programs. I value my visitors to much to continue using them.

- Starting today I’m putting up my prices, I hope my Private Writing income doesn’t drop too low now.

My Targets For January

Break 4,000 & 7,000 Traffic Barriers – I did not acheive this last month but I think if I get back into the swing of things then I should be able to break the 4,000 barrier for unique hits and 7,000 barrier for page impressions during January.

Lower My Bounce Rate – As I said last month my bounce rate is something I have never really bothered with but according to other more experienced bloggers it is something I should be looking to lower in the not too distant future. Apparently below 50% is the aim?

Increase Passive Writing – Although I am happy with the $17+ a month I roughly get I think I should push on with this and try and hit $20 a month. I’m going to start publishing one article a week to InfoBarrel and Hubpages.

Increase My Freelancing Fee – I said I would do it last month but I didn’t think it was quite the right time when I had a lot of asignments left to complete. Now I have finished them I shall increase my fee.

December is now upon us and Christmas is well and truly underway in my household, I’ve taken to seeking refuge in my office to keep out of the way and pretend it isn’t happening. I’m not a Christmas person at all.

The page impression count for November stands at 6,818, which is a massive increase of 1,253 from the month of October.

My bounce rate has improved slightly from 73.35% to 70.48%.

- I am really pleased to see that I managed to increase both unique traffic and page impressions by over 500 and 1000 respectively. I thought October was a fluke but thankfully that doesn’t seem to be true.

- Clicksor have been given another run by me. I wanted to replace Traffic Revenue and thought I’d give Clicksor another shot. They doing OK for the amount of traffic & clicks I’m sending them.

- I’m going to start slowly scaling back on the amount of private writing that I am doing because I think I can do better than write 1000 word articles for $3-$5 a pop.

- My passive income took a slight nose dive but I did absolutely nothing to add to it last month.

My Targets For December

August was a month where I did quite a bit of travelling. I went to Plymouth for two weekend breaks and I spent a weekend in Manchester, so I am quite surprised that I managed to still find the time to make any money this month and publish any content.

July was a month where I actually did some work. I know, I can’t believe it either, shock horror! The fruits of my labour will not show that much in this month’s income report though because I will not receive the money until some time in August, so it will appear in the next one.

The page impression count for July stands at 4,158, which is a MASSIVE increase of 1,117 from the month of June.

- I am DELIGHTED to see both my unique hits and my page impressions have risen by a big chunk. I can only hope that this is something that will continue; maybe I can reach the 2,000 and 4,500 marks respectively next month?

June was a hectic month for me, which is why you will notice that I only managed to publish guest posts (and only a handful at that) on this blog. I only got around to writing the May income port yesterday morning!

I would firstly like to apologise for this report being published so late in the month. I have had some exciting things going on lately and have not had time for anything online related. Hopefully July will see me back to normal. Yay!

Page Impressions & Visitor Count

The unique visitor count for May stands at 1,369, which is an increase of 218 from the month of April.

The page impression count for May stands at 2,967, which is a further decrease of 194 from the month of April.

This means that each unique visitor looked at 2.17 pages.

My bounce rate has shot up from 40.32% to 58.95%.

Again my page impression has tumbled while my unique visitor count has risen nicely. Again I can only put that down to not posting regularly and not producing quality content.

- I pulled in over 3,200 (with this blog and another blog) impressions and UnderDog paid me $0.02? Something is amiss.

- I was running a campaign with Tradedoubler, they have now contacted me saying the client put down the wrong info and have taken back all the money that I earnt from them.

I haven’t been as productive with this blog over the past month as I would have liked to have been, if it was not for the large amount of guest posts I had received then you would probably have been looking at about four posts.

I haven’t been skiving though, honest! I have been really busy tucking into private writing assignments that I have secured, as you will see by the amount I made from private writing this month.

Page Impressions & Visitor Count

The unique visitor count for April stands at 1.151, which is an increase of 98 from the month of March.

The page impression count for April stands at 3.161, which is a big decrease of 978 from the month of March.

This means that each unique visitor looked at 2.75 pages.

My bounce rate has shot up from 9.5% to 40.32%.

While it is excellent to see I have continued to increase my unique visitor count, I am a little sad that my page view count has dropped by almost a thousand.

- Two name changes this month, AdJuggler are now called Fidelity Media and AdsDaq are now going by the name of ContextWeb.

- Tradedoubler have come into the picture, I’m running a small ad campaign through them which is doing nicely as you can see. 

- Twitter earnings have started again thanks to Magpie and Sponsored Tweets.

- My earnings From UnderDog has been falling recently, I might have to think about maybe removing that network soon.

- I am so happy with how much I earnt from private writing. I worked really hard and did an awful amount of work last. I promise I will write a post about it very soon. )
