2008 Blog Income Report

by Dean Saliba on January 29, 2009 · Monthly Blog Income

The end of December saw me mark my first full year as a blogger trying to make money on the internet. I thought it might be a nice idea to publish how much money I have made blogging over the past twelve months. I think it will give a better picture than the monthly income blog reports that I do.

Blog Reviews

Blog To Profit = $50.00
Bloggers Review = $6.00
Bloggerwave = $102.00
Blogitive = $20.00
Blogvertise = $39.00
Linkworth = $57.40
Loudlaunch = $92.00
PayPerPost = $58.77
PayU2Blog = $602.50
ReviewMe = $25.00
Smorty = $203.40
Sponsored Reviews = $667.55
zync = $18.00

Other Reviews = $25.00

Adverts

Adsense = $68.16
Adbrite = $12.99
Adtoll = $0.18
Kontera = $0.20
Clicksor = $49.09
TextLinkAds = $52.89

Altogether I made a tidy amount of $2,150.13.

When you take into consideration that I was completely green, I barely did it part time and I made a hell of a lot of mistakes, I think you will agree that what I acheived was pretty neat.

Obviously my goal for 2009 is to beat that total and with the tips I have picked up from a lot of the other bloggers I think I will beat that total by some considerable distance. :)

If you sign up via any of the link then please let them know that deansaliba@hotmail.com recommended them. :)

I think you have done quite well. I like the way you mixed your sources of income. it is a clever idea to put ypur eggs in more baskets. Good work!

That as probably the only thing that I learned from John Chow.

Using as many sources as you can on your blog is good common sense, if one fails then you are not totally screwed.

I’d say that you did very good for your first year! C’mon 2k and you weren’t even trying, imagine if you really put in work on this blog, it could easily net you 15-30k/yr, seriously pat yourself on the back man..

how exactly to make 15-30k/yr? isn’t that kind of hard thing for a blog? our main income is only from advert actually.

It certainly is possible. I know at least one person who is doing it and he has no page rank. Not sure if it is spread over multiple blogs though.

I use several sources in which to make money as I don’t believe in putting all your eggs into one basket.

Great site you have going here and that is pretty good for someone who doesn’t blog full-time. I am hoping you are considering it? Good luck to you and your future income!

I’m afraid I hardly ever check Smorty these days. They have not offered me any work since May last year. When they did they would post opps at about 10pm British time.

Have you considered joining more networks? I know a list of 19 networks that I use.

Excellent of you to break it down by network so we know what’s worth it and what’s not. I had no idea PayU2Blog paid that well, guess I know what to work with now. Good post!

Payu2Blog have been a very consistant payer for me since I started using them. I could earn more from them but it is laziness on my part. I need to motivate myself more.

Thanks for dropping by. :)
