Archive for January, 2009

The end of December saw me mark my first full year as a blogger trying ot make money on the internet. I thought it might be a nice idea to publish how much money I have made blogging over the past twelve months. I think it will give a better picture than the monthly income blog reports that I do.

Blog To Profit = $50.00
Bloggers Review = $6.00
Bloggerwave = $102.00
Blogitive = $20.00
Blogvertise = $39.00
Linkworth = $57.40

PayPerPost = $58.77
PayU2Blog = $602.50
ReviewMe = $25.00
Smorty = $203.40
Sponsored Reviews = $667.55
zync = $18.00

Other Reviews = $25.00

Adverts

Adsense = $68.16
Adbrite = $12.99
Adtoll = $0.18
Kontera = $0.20
Clicksor = $49.09
TextLinkAds = $52.89

Altogether I made a tidy amount of $2,150.13.

When you take into consideration that I was completely green, I barely did it part time and I made a hell of a lot of mistakes, I think you will agree that what I acheived was pretty neat.

Obviously my goal for 2009 is to beat that total and with the tips I have picked up from a lot of the other bloggers I think I will beat that total by some considerable distance. :)

As of tonight I have finally taken the jump and started using Twiter on a regular basis to see if it really can help me increase the traffic to my blog.

I hope to see some of you over there!

I can still vividly remember when fax machines were first brought out onto the market. They claimed they would be the much needed item that evey company could not be without, and for about ten years they were bang on the money.

What shocked me was when I found out that even though you can now send a fax over the internet there are a lot of companies that still rely on their old fax machines to help them send faxes.

I found this when I working at Informa for three months, we would send faxes through the internet to people all over the world and they would then have to use their old fax machines to send a reply.

I’m not sure how long faxes will be around for as email seems to have taken over as a more speedy resolution.

I’ve never pretended to understand how it works. I remember once asking why the paper was still in the tray…
