I’ve Gone & Got Myself A Job

October 26, 2008

People who check this blog out on a regular basis (or even just looking at the date of the last post) will be aware that I have been neglecting my blog again despite my promises that I wouldn’t.

I can assure you that I do have a good reason this time, I have gone and got myself a job!

I know what you are all thinking….

Why has a man with a blog about making money online been forced to get himself a job in the offline world?

Unlike the majority of people who claim to make money online I did not get a job in order to make ends meet, I did it to get me out of the house as I was spending nearly every waking hour of the day couped up in my front room listening to my dad moan and bitch about anything and everything.

Getting a job has taken a lot out of me and I have actually spent hardly anytime online in the past couple of weeks and even when I have been online it is only in short sharp bursts.

But as I slowly become accustomed to the early rising and early nights I am starting to get my arse back online. For instance today I spent a lot of time online posting on my main blog and of course I am posting this on this blog.

So believe me when I say I am not abandoning my quest, it is merely an action I have taken in order to save myself from going to prison for murdering my miserable and moaning dad!

September Blog Income Report

October 1, 2008

It is time once again ladies and gentlemen for IND to open up their accounts and release the monthly figures to the big wide world. Or in plain English, it is time for the monthly Blog Income Report.

On September 25th I started working so from that date (or just before it) on you might notice that my figures will take a nose dive.

Page Impressions & Visitor Count

Page Views

Sadly I have neglected this blog since I have started work but (as I have promised so many times before) I intend to start writing on this blog again in the hope it will not only help me earn money but will also help you guys find ways of earning an income online. :)

Despite only posting twice in the month of September I still saw a nice amount of page views, sadly not as high as the month before but much better than what I thought.

This month the number stands at 6.165 which is a decrease of 564 from last month.

Unique Visitors

What also surprised me was that again despite only posting twice this month I saw a nice increase in the amount of people checking out my blog.

This month the number stands at 3.045, which is an increase of 360.

This means that each visitor looked at an average of 2.024 pages each.

Number Crunching

Adbrite: $0.13 (-$0.02)
Adsense: $8.35 (+$3.60)
AdToll: $0.00 (-£0.02)
Clicksor: $0.20 (-$01.66)
GPT: $14.50
Kontera: $0.06 (+$0.04)
TLA: $4.00 (New)
Reviews: $20.00 (-$252.51)

Total: $47.24 (-$220.33)

It certainly does not look well but what needs to be taken into account here is that I have barely done anything to the sites this month and what I do have here is all 100% profit.

I have also added two new companies to my list of growing income avenues. TLA (Text Link Ads) and also GPT (Get Paid To). One is a text link advert company and the other pays you for filling out surveys.

Top Five Search Terms

I like this part of the monthly income report. It is amazing how people find my blog on search engines.

1. i need discipline
2. “i need discipline”
3. need of discipline
4. discipline needed
5. get paid to fill in forms

My favourite search term was i need a man to discipline which lists my site as number 6 in the ranking!
