We all know of the normal ways to promote business, taking out advertising in the various media publications, radio adverts, television adverts, even dishing out leaflets in your local high street. But these cost money and sometimes a new business just does not have that kind of money to throw around.
1. pens & Pencils
This might sound like a silly idea but it is incredibly effective. We all need a pen or a pencil and they are so easy to give out. You can hand them out to people you meet or even leave them in places like your local post office or pub. I know people who even send some to school to leave in classrooms.
They are very cheap to make as well. You can contact a company like Pens R Us or Promotional Pens and you can have your company name and contact information on the side of them.
2. Sponsor A Youth Team
Not only is this a great day to advertise (your name on their shirts and teams are always looking for sponsors and they normally don’t charge much) but it will also make your company look very good to your local community and you can’t buy publicity like that.
If you are looking then AFC Ealing are currently looking for a sponsor.
3. Fridge Magnets
This is something that I have used in the past. Everybody loves magnets to help decorate their fridges. I havedone a little trick in the past where I have left lots of them on various metal objects like petrol pumps, condom machines, people will see them an take them.
Promotional Merchandise is one such company that I have used in the past.
4. Business Cards
This is an obvious one and there are many companies online that will offer you business cards at a great price. One great place to leave them is in pub toilets, what else is there to do while you at the urinals?

That is a really good article on promotional items and in particular promotional pens.
Mostly these articles are not well written but spun from other articles but this one looks genuine – a breath of fresh air.
If you need a good choice in promotional pens by all means visit one of the above but if you cannot find what you are after visit http://www.promotional-pens.co.uk
Thank you very much, I do try.:)
You did a good job on the basics of promotional products. When business or the economy is slow… a little self promotion can go a long way!
Thanks!
Thank you, I hope people find it helpful.
